Poppy and Lydia from Coram’s Voices Through Time team recently finished their two-week placement at the Foundling Museum, working with Collections Manager, Alison Duke.
The two Heritage Engagement Interns, who have been working on Coram’s Digital Archive, gained hands-on experience with the museum’s collections and displays. They spent their placement learning about conservation practice, undertaking research at London Metropolitan Archives, working front-of-house, and even winding antique clocks. As their final project, they produced a display about two 20th-century pupils of the Foundling Hospital, which can be seen in the Introductory Gallery of the museum (pictured below).
