Reena, one of our Story of Care Ambassadors, took part in our Letters from Lockdown project. She was one of eight young people who attended weekly creative writing workshops. In these workshops the young people explored the history of the Foundling Hospital through archive material and reflected on the experiences of young people in care over time.

During the third week of the project discussions about the Foundling Hospital were around what life beyond the Foundling Hospital held for the children. The discussions then focused on the present and included a consideration of hopes for the future and how the participants would like the world to be.

One of the creative exercises was to write a letter to the world or to the universe. Reena’s video below is her letter to the universe – her vision for the future.
