In the summer of 2021, care-experienced young people came together in London for a series of spoken word and performance workshops.
From writing songs and poetry to recording and preparing for a performance, the group spent 12 sessions honing their skills with London based artist Ric Flo. Ric grew up in foster care, and shared with the group how he used the creative arts became a therapeutic medium of introspection and self-expression. They then devised their own pieces to be shared in performance.
Over two nights, the group performed at the renowned Arcola Theatre, London in July.
