Over the course of six workshops, artist Aundre Goddard will cover the basics of voice-acting and performance. Through a mixture of fun games and activities, the workshops will cover vocalisation, script interpretation and character building.
And here’s the exciting part: you’ll have the chance to voice a character in an audio walking tour about the history of the Foundling Hospital, Britain’s first children’s home. The tour will reveal the experiences of the young people who lived at the Foundling Hospital in the 1700s and 1800s. It will be produced by Sound UK and freely available on Coram’s website.
This is an excellent opportunity to try your hand at voice-acting, build confidence and have fun! No previous experience is required.
The workshops will run on Thursday evenings at Coram from 5.30-8.30pm. Address: Coram Campus, 41 Brunswick Square, London WC1N 1AZ. The workshop dates and times are below:
- Thursday 16 November (5.30-8.30pm)
- Thursday 23 November (126.96.36.199pm)
- Thursday 30 November (5.30-8.30pm)
- Thursday 7 December (5.30-8.30pm)
- Saturday 9 December (Time TBC)
- Thursday 21 December (5.30-8.30pm)
Food will be provided at each workshop, and expenses for travel to and from the venue will be reimbursed where a receipt is provided.
