Over the course of six weeks you will get the opportunity to write a fictional story that follows the journey of a young person who lived in the Foundling Hospital in the 18th century.  Following in the footsteps of writers such as Jacqueline Wilson, you will get the chance to find out what life was like back then and use it as inspiration for your own story.

In the workshops you will gain skills and understanding of:

  • the history of care – hearing about the history of the Foundling Hospital
  • how to plan, structure and tell a story
  • how to create a story board
  • creating your story
  • the opportunity to have your work exhibited on the Coram Campus.

To find out more about the Voices through Time Project and work young people have done, see our Creative Projects page and follow us at #realstoriesofcare

The workshops will be held on Wednesdays from 6pm – 8pm for six weeks from the 22 June to the 27 July – with a celebration event following this.  All at the Coram Campus, 41 Brunswick Square, London WC1N 1AZ.

Travel costs in London and refreshments provided.
